Transposagen's Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Collaboration Program
Transposagen's novel technologies have advanced functional genomics and drug discovery with the production of genetically modified animals and cell lines. These technologies best serve the scientific community and public health when applied to develop the most innovative products. That is why we want you to submit your idea to the Transposagen Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Collaboration Program.
Transposagen is the only company in the world that has the capability to produce genetically modified rats and other rodents and also qualifies for NIH-SBIR grants. We have teamed up with academic collaborators around the country for successful funding to support their research. SBIR's are short grant applications, which describe specific aims and the research strategy to achieve those aims. The specific aims must focus on the generation of products that will be commercially valuable and widely used in the research community. SBIR's are awarded in two phases: Phase I is a one or two year grant with grant amounts around $100-300K and Phase II awards with grant amount that can exceed $2 million over two years. For more information please visit: http://grants.nih.gov/grants/funding/sbir.htm
Please submit your idea to SBIRcollaborations@transposagenbio.com and provide 1) the desired animal model or cell line 2) your planned research using the animal model or cell line 3) application and impact on the research community and public health
