PiggyBac transposon system for differentiation of iPS and ES cells

The piggyBac (PB) system exhibits high-efficiency genetic modification, stable expression of transgenes, and seamless excision. These characteristics make it ideal for delivering factors for stem cell differentiation into primary cells that can then be used in therapeutic applications such as regenerative medicine. PB integrates efficiently and stably expresses differentiation factors into stem cells driving differentiation into cardiomyocytes, hepatocytes, neurons or other cell types. These differentiated cells are then used for drug discovery screens or for regenerative medicine.
